CLIENT BRIEF
The brief was to transform a previously tired kitchen, into a clean, contemporary space for the family to enjoy. The client requested additional storage space which was achieved by reconfiguring the space to allow for a larder pantry unit, a full height refrigerator and freezer, as well as a banquette dining seating area. They also wanted to update their appliances and did so with a Bora downdraft extractor and Neff slide & hide appliances. Although the aim was to create a modern space, it was important for the kitchen to feel warm and homely. This was attained by using a warm cashmere lacquer on the cabinetry and natural wood finishes elsewhere in the scheme. HKI designed the kitchen, as well as collating all other finishes to complete the scheme.
